Pastry Chef
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing various baked goods, desserts, and pastries in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They must have a strong understanding of flavor combinations and techniques to create visually appealing and delicious treats. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of ingredients, including chocolate, fruits, and nuts. They must also be able to work well under pressure and have excellent time management skills to ensure all orders are completed in a timely manner. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing menu items. The Pastry Chef must also maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare various baked goods, desserts, and pastries according to recipes
- Develop new menu items that are visually appealing and flavorful
- Ensure all orders are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to food safety standards at all times
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of different baking techniques
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new menu items
- Strong time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- High level of cleanliness
- Fluency in English
Salary: 1800$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Nakuru, Kenya
Preference for Indian candidates with experience in pastry making.
