Preservation Architect



As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the beautiful city of Jerusalem. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and preservation organizations to ensure that all projects comply with local and national preservation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to evaluate the condition of historic structures
- Develop plans and specifications for restoration, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project feasibility
- Prepare project proposals and cost estimates for clients
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local preservation boards
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to clients
- Conduct research on historic buildings and materials to inform restoration decisions
- Attend meetings and conferences related to preservation practices and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation projects
- Knowledge of local preservation regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural software
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Passion for preserving cultural heritage

Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Jerusalem (open to all nationalities)
