Executive Chef - Malayalees and Filipinos Preferred
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Nairobi. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and create menu items that reflect our restaurant's concept and appeal to our target audience
- Manage all aspects of food production, including ordering ingredients, controlling food costs, and maintaining quality standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in compliance with health regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and ingredients to continuously improve the menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Proficiency in Malayalam or Tagalog preferred but not required
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good understanding of food safety regulations
- Valid working visa for Kenya or willingness to obtain one
