Pastry Chef
The pastry chef will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods in a professional kitchen setting. They will work closely with the head chef to develop new recipes and ensure that all dishes meet high quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong pastry skills, and excellent attention to detail. This is a full-time position based in Acre, with a salary of 1200$. Preference will be given to Indian nationals with fluent English skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute dessert menus in accordance with the restaurant's overall concept and standards
- Prepare and bake various types of pastries, cakes, and desserts
- Decorate pastries using different types of icings, toppings, and fillings
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Train junior staff members on proper pastry techniques
- Manage inventory and maintain stock levels for ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with the head chef to create new dessert offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section of the kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of different types of desserts, pastries, and baking techniques
- Strong creativity and ability to develop new recipes
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management skills
- Fluent English skills
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience
- Indian nationality preferred
