Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Kaunas. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historical buildings and structures, ensuring their structural integrity and maintaining their historical significance. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure the preservation projects are completed successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and assessments of historical structures to determine their preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies, taking into consideration the unique features and materials of each structure
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure preservation work is carried out safely and efficiently
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Monitor the progress of preservation projects and make any necessary adjustments or modifications
- Provide guidance to clients on maintenance and conservation techniques for historical structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in historic preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, construction techniques, and conservation principles
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Kaunas (relocation assistance available for non-Lithuanian candidates)
Note: A valid biometric passport is required for this position. English fluency is preferred but not required.
