Preservation Architect for Historic Buildings
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Ashdod, Israel. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings while ensuring their structural integrity and adherence to preservation guidelines. This position is open to Indians and no English language skills are required. We welcome candidates without prior experience and offer opportunities for students looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of preservation architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop plans and designs for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings, taking into account their historical significance, structural stability, and any necessary updates or modifications
- Collaborate with engineers, construction workers, and other professionals to oversee the execution of preservation projects
- Monitor progress, address any issues that arise during the construction process, and ensure compliance with preservation guidelines
- Conduct research on historical buildings, materials, and techniques in order to inform preservation plans and designs
- Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals for clients or government agencies regarding preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation
- Strong understanding of architectural history, styles, materials, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Experience working with local or national government agencies on historical preservation projects is preferred
- Excellent design skills with proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines for preserving historical structures
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently
Salary: $1700/month
