Pastry Chef
We are in search of a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Al Ahmadi. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods. Your role will involve overseeing the production of all pastry items, as well as ensuring the quality and presentation of each dish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and create a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to recipes or own creativity
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and fillings to ensure attractive presentation
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients to ensure efficient use within budget limits
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on pastry preparation techniques
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations
- Develop new pastry recipes for menus based on seasonal availability or special events
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all pastry ingredients
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus that include pastries or dessert items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role
- Knowledge of baking techniques and the ability to create visually appealing dishes
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in baking
- Working knowledge of pastry ingredients such as flour, sugar, butter, etc.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while also adding your own creative touch
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other kitchen staff members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Must be able to speak English fluently
Salary: $1000 per month
