Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, such as building frameworks, partitions, doors, and furniture. Your main duties will include reading blueprints and drawings to determine specifications, measuring and cutting wood pieces accurately, using hand and power tools to shape and smooth surfaces, and assembling components with the use of nails, screws or adhesives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in carpentry work and possess excellent knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques. You should be able to interpret technical drawings and follow safety procedures at all times. A creative mind and attention to detail are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings or job specifications to determine the materials required
- Measure, cut, shape, join and align wood pieces according to specifications
- Install structures such as windows, frames or staircases
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other wooden structures
- Use hand tools such as saws, chisels or planes to shape wood pieces
- Operate power tools including sanders, drills or nail guns
- Sand surfaces for smooth finish
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail with good manual dexterity
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods of time
and lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
