Accountant - Al-Khor, Qatar

As an Accountant in Al-Khor, Qatar, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, as well as identify areas for cost savings and process improvements. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Prepare tax returns and handle any tax-related inquiries
- Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in the African region)
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Strong understanding of local accounting laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
