Machine Learning Engineer (Part-time)

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis in Svalbard. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze large data sets and provide insights for our company. This is an urgent job opportunity, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms to analyze large data sets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop solutions using machine learning techniques
- Utilize statistical analysis and visualization tools to interpret data and present insights
- Research and evaluate new machine learning techniques to improve existing models
- Work with data engineers to ensure data quality and develop efficient pipelines for model training and deployment

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java
- Experience working with large data sets and utilizing tools such as SQL, Hadoop, Spark, etc.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Proven experience in developing successful machine learning models from conception to deployment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex business problems
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred:
- Previous experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure

Salary: 1000$ per month (part-time)
Location: Svalbard (accommodation provided)
Employment type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Start date: Immediate
