Unity Developer - Svalbard

As a Unity Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality games and interactive experiences. You will collaborate with a team of designers, artists, and programmers to create engaging and immersive gameplay. Your primary focus will be on implementing game mechanics, AI systems, UI elements, and integrating assets into the game engine. You should have a strong understanding of Unity development principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a contract position with accommodation provided in Svalbard, making it an ideal opportunity for an adventurous developer.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to implement gameplay mechanics and features
- Work with artists to integrate assets into the game engine
- Design and implement AI systems for NPCs
- Create UI elements using Unity's UI system
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing codebase
- Optimize game performance for various platforms
- Stay updated on the latest Unity developments and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Unity Developer
- Strong proficiency in C# programming language
- Experience developing games for PC, console or mobile platforms
- Knowledge of 3D math concepts
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Passion for gaming

Bonus Skills:
- Experience working with AR/VR technologies
- Knowledge of other game engines such as Unreal or CryEngine
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
