Database Administrator

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in the beautiful city of Svalbard. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience with database management systems. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$ per month, accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement databases based on business requirements.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues.
- Develop and maintain data backup and recovery plans.
- Ensure data security and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient use of databases.
- Train users on database access and functionality.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficient in database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Certification in database administration.
