Interpreter/Translator

As an Interpreter/Translator, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. This role will require you to interpret spoken words from one language to another, as well as translate written documents. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of cultural differences and be able to convey messages accurately and sensitively.

Responsibilities:
- Listen carefully and accurately interpret spoken words from one language to another
- Translate written documents such as emails, reports, and legal documents
- Facilitate communication between individuals who do not speak the same language
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in interpretation
- Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted or translated information
- Keep updated with changes in languages, terminology, and slang in both languages
- Collaborate with other interpreters or translators on complex projects

Requirements:
- Fluency in at least two languages including English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to remain neutral and professional during conversations
- Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to adapt accordingly
- Knowledge of industry-specific terminology
- Excellent memory retention skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Translation or related field preferred

Salary: 1400$ per month

Location: Svalbard
