Experienced Roofer (Svalbard)


A successful roofing company in Svalbard is seeking an experienced roofer to join our team. As the only permanent settlement on the archipelago, Svalbard offers a unique and challenging environment for roofers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing, preferably in cold climates, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain various types of roofs including shingles, tiles, metal, and flat roofs
- Inspect roofs for damage and determine appropriate solutions
- Measure and cut materials to fit specific roof dimensions
- Ensure job site safety and follow all safety protocols
- Communicate with clients regarding project progress and any issues that may arise

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in roofing
- Experience working in cold climates preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1800$ per month for this contract position.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

We are able to provide visa sponsorship for non-Svalbard residents.
