Seasonal Restaurant Manager



The Seasonal Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant located in Svalbard. This is a seasonal job, with a salary of 1300$. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the restaurant industry and be able to manage a team effectively. They should also possess strong leadership skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service
- Train and supervise staff members to ensure efficient and high-quality service
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise
- Create and implement promotional strategies to attract customers during peak seasons
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of food orders
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures to maximize profits
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of goods

Requirements:

- Prior experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams successfully
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings, or other irregular hours as needed
