Head Chef - Svalbard
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Svalbard, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation and ensuring the highest level of food quality and service. Your expertise in creating innovative and delicious dishes, along with your strong leadership skills, will be essential in maintaining our reputation as a top dining destination.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect current food trends
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and controlling costs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Svalbard (accommodation provided)
