Welder Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder Assistant to join our team in Svalbard. As a Welder Assistant, you will work alongside our experienced welders to assist with various tasks such as preparing materials, setting up equipment, and performing basic welding operations. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist welders with setting up equipment and preparing materials for welding
- Perform basic welding operations under the guidance of experienced welders
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Prior experience in welding or metal fabrication preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to welding
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Biometric passport or willingness to obtain one if needed for the job
- Currently enrolled in a welding program or pursuing a related degree (preferred)
