Waiter/Waitress at a Cozy Restaurant in Svalbard


We are seeking a friendly and experienced Waiter/Waitress to join our team at a cozy restaurant in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Present menus, take orders, and answer any questions about menu items
- Ensure accuracy of orders and promptly deliver food and beverages to tables
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables, as well as restocking supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
- Process payments using POS system accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including wiping tables, chairs, and floors

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Positive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills
- Valid work visa for Svalbard (accommodation provided)
