Gardener in Svalbard


Are you a skilled and passionate gardener looking for a unique opportunity to work in the beautiful and remote archipelago of Svalbard? Our company is currently seeking a gardener to join our team and help maintain our gardens and green spaces.

As a Gardener in Svalbard, you will be responsible for all aspects of gardening, including planting, pruning, watering, and maintaining the overall health of our plants. You will also be responsible for keeping our gardens and green spaces clean and visually appealing.

This position requires someone with experience in gardening and a strong knowledge of plants and their care. You should have excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently. As we are located in the Arctic region, you must also be physically fit and able to work in cold temperatures.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and maintaining plants
- Removing weeds, dead or damaged plants
- Maintaining garden equipment
- Cleaning garden paths and outdoor areas
- Identifying plant pests or diseases and taking appropriate action
- Ensuring that safety standards are met at all times

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a gardener or similar role
- Strong knowledge of plants and their care
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical fitness to work in cold temperatures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)

We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month with accommodation provided. We also provide free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket expenses for non-residents of Svalbard.
