Job Title: Mason - Contract Position in Svalbard


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, concrete, stone, and other materials. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills and gain experience working in a unique location.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine materials needed
- Measure and cut materials to fit specifications
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to create walls, arches, and other structures
- Mix mortar or grout according to specifications
- Repair damaged brickwork or other masonry structures
- Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and polish materials
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow safety procedures while working on construction sites

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mason
- Ability to read blueprints and building plans
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Valid work visa for Svalbard (or ability to obtain one)
