Formworker
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Formworker to join our team in Oslo. As a Formworker, you will be responsible for creating formwork structures used in the construction of concrete buildings. Your main goal will be to ensure the structural integrity and stability of the concrete during pouring and setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine formwork requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape materials such as plywood, steel, or aluminum to create formwork structures
- Assemble formwork pieces according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Install reinforcements and bracing as needed for additional support
- Pour concrete into the forms and use hand tools or power equipment to smooth and finish surfaces
- Remove forms once the concrete has set, ensuring minimal damage to the structure
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and using proper protective equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Formworker in the construction industry
- Proficient in reading construction plans and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of different types of formwork systems and their uses
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials with precision tools
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for long periods of time, working outdoors in various weather conditions. The salary for this position is 1000$ per week without accommodation provided. However, we offer competitive compensation packages that include benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
