Head Chef - Fine Dining (Oslo, Norway)

Our upscale restaurant in Oslo is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our fine dining menu, managing inventory and ordering supplies, training and supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the overall quality of our food and service.

We are looking for a creative and passionate chef with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in European cuisine with a focus on Scandinavian flavors. A degree in culinary arts or professional certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an innovative fine dining menu that reflects seasonal ingredients and local influences
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain budget
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen at all times
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistent quality of dishes
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create new promotions or special menu items
- Attend meetings with suppliers to source quality ingredients at competitive prices

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining establishment
- Strong knowledge of European cuisine with an emphasis on Scandinavian flavors
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
