Head Pastry Chef

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry department of our fine dining restaurant in Oslo. Your main duties will include creating and developing new pastry recipes, managing inventory, training and supervising a team of pastry chefs, and ensuring food quality standards are consistently met.

Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Creativity and passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries

Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and menu
- Manage inventory for all pastry ingredients, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste
- Train new pastry chefs on techniques, recipes, and food safety procedures
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry department, including production schedules and quality control
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus that incorporate both savory dishes and desserts
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed in the kitchen at all times
- Create special dessert menus for events or holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or similar field preferred but not required if candidate has sufficient experience
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills

Salary: 1200$ per month

Location: Oslo, Norway (Preference for Norwegian or EU citizens)
