Pastry Chef - Oslo, Norway
As a Pastry Chef at our upscale restaurant in Oslo, Norway, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts. Your passion for pastry-making and creativity will be on full display as you develop new recipes and present them to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and breads
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as glazing, piping, and icing
- Develop new pastry recipes while also maintaining the quality of existing ones
- Ensure that all pastries are made to company standards and are visually appealing
- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain stock levels
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate dessert offerings for special events or themed menus
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients
- Creativity in developing new pastry recipes
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to lead and train junior pastry chefs
- Must have a degree in culinary arts or related field
