Merchandiser (Oslo, Norway)



As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability. You will work closely with buyers and suppliers to ensure that the right products are available in the right stores at the right time. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Work closely with buyers and suppliers to ensure product availability and negotiate terms
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or markdowns
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotions and displays
- Conduct store visits to ensure proper product placement and visual merchandising standards are met
- Train store staff on product knowledge, pricing, promotions, and display techniques
- Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and customer preferences

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field preferred
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with retail math concepts
- Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting
