Chef de Cuisine
We are in search of a highly skilled and creative Chef de Cuisine to join our team in Muharraq. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and leading our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that are unique, seasonal, and showcase quality ingredients
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and promotions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of all dishes according to menu specifications
- Monitor food quality and consistency to uphold our high standards
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health codes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage kitchen operations and collaborate with other departments
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Knowledge of food cost control measures with the ability to create budgets, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvement
