Web Designer



As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites. You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain our online presence, ensuring that our website accurately represents our brand and effectively communicates our message. This is a full-time position based in Svalbard, and we are seeking someone with experience in web design.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop website layouts, graphics, and interactive features
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive online presence
- Optimize website for desktop and mobile use
- Conduct regular maintenance to ensure website is up-to-date
- Utilize SEO best practices to improve search engine ranking
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into designs

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in web design
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant coding languages
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other design software
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design or related field
- Experience in UX/UI design
- Familiarity with responsive design principles
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Good communication skills
