Job Title: Freelance Travel Writer

As a freelance travel writer based in Svalbard, you will have the opportunity to explore and write about the unique culture, landscapes, and experiences of this remote Arctic archipelago. You will be responsible for creating engaging content for various media outlets, including print and online publications, as well as social media platforms. This is a contract position that offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month, as well as accommodation and meals.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and gather information about Svalbard's history, culture, attractions, and events
- Travel to different locations within Svalbard to experience and document various activities and landscapes
- Write engaging articles, blog posts, reviews, and social media posts about your experiences in Svalbard
- Collaborate with editors to ensure content meets publication guidelines and deadlines
- Utilize SEO techniques to optimize content for search engines
- Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices in travel writing

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a travel writer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of the travel industry and current trends
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences
- Familiarity with SEO techniques
- Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for travel and exploring new cultures
- Flexibility to travel within Svalbard

Preferred qualifications:
