Executive Chef - Culinary Arts in Osaka, Japan
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in Osaka, Japan. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our kitchen operations. This includes menu planning, food preparation and presentation, staff management, inventory control, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and enticing menus that reflect the local culture while also catering to international clientele.
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes to ensure consistency and high-quality standards are met.
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and maintain cost control.
- Implement food safety and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or menus.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement new techniques or recipes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Japanese language skills preferred).
- Creative mindset with a passion for food innovation.
We offer competitive salary of 1200$ per month without accommodation but with visa sponsorship.
