We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Part-Time Preservation Architect to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while ensuring they meet modern standards of safety and functionality. This is a part-time position suitable for students or individuals with other commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and assessments to determine the condition of historical structures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies to maintain the historical integrity of buildings
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation projects are executed successfully
- Researching historical techniques and materials to inform restoration processes
- Documenting all preservation work in accordance with regulations and guidelines
- Providing technical support and guidance on preservation projects to clients and colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in preservation architecture or related field
- Knowledge of historical preservation techniques, materials, and regulations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Salary: $1500 per month (based on part-time hours)
