Executive Chef for Student Dining Services in Bergen
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at the student dining services in Bergen. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high quality standards. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our diverse student population
- Plan and execute daily food preparation, ensuring timely service and adherence to food safety standards
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide training and guidance as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high satisfaction among students
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification
- Knowledge of Norwegian cuisine
- Experience working with students or in a university setting
