Assistant Librarian

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Librarian in Bergen, Norway. As an Assistant Librarian, you will support the daily operations of our library and assist patrons with their information needs.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing library materials
- Process incoming and outgoing materials, including cataloging, shelving, and circulation
- Conduct basic reference interviews and provide guidance on research strategies
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the library space
- Assist with programming and events for library users
- Stay up-to-date on current literature and resources in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in using library databases and technology
- Fluency in English (Norwegian proficiency is a plus but not required)

Salary: $1200 per month

City: Bergen, Norway
