Pastry Chef at a High-End Bakery in Bergen, Norway
Our high-end bakery in Bergen, Norway is seeking an experienced and talented Pastry Chef to join our team. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and baking pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats for our bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create unique and delicious pastries, desserts, and other baked goods
- Follow recipes accurately while also using your creativity to add personal touches
- Ensure all products are consistently high quality and meet our standards
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on pastry techniques and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited institution preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative flair with the ability to design visually appealing desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a high-end bakery or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of Norwegian pastry traditions and ingredients is an asset but not required
- Ability to speak Norwegian is an asset but not required
