Data Mining Analyst



As a Data Mining Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify patterns and trends. Your role will involve using various techniques and tools to extract valuable insights from large datasets and providing actionable recommendations to support business decision-making. You should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex data sets. This position is based in Alta, Norway and requires a biometric passport for international travels.

Responsibilities:
- Collecting and organizing large datasets from various sources
- Using statistical analysis methods to identify patterns and trends in data
- Developing algorithms and models to perform data mining tasks
- Interpreting results and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques
- Ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security at all times

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data mining or related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python or R
- Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
