A well-established company in Alta, Norway is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases to ensure they are secure, efficient, and accessible to authorized users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Develop backup and recovery plans
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Create user accounts and manage access levels
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database usage
- Stay up-to-date with new database technologies and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Experience with database design and normalization techniques
- Strong understanding of data security principles
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues quickly and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Certification from a relevant organization (e.g. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)

Salary: 1800$ per month without accommodation.
