We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Turner to join our team on a contract basis in Alta, Canada. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to create precision metal parts for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine the best methods and materials required for production.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products.
- Monitor machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in machining preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of various machine tools including lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines.
- Ability to read technical blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, files etc. for finishing work.
- Good physical dexterity and stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during production.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per week along with other benefits such as free visa sponsorship and a round-trip ticket to Alta, Canada.
