Civil Engineer - Alta, Norway

As a Civil Engineer in our company's Alta office, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects in the city of Alta, Norway. Your main responsibilities will include designing and planning construction projects, conducting site visits and inspections, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. You should also possess exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and planning construction projects in accordance with client requirements
- Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility and identify potential issues
- Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure project success
- Managing project timelines to ensure timely completion
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Providing technical guidance to junior engineers on the team

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction management
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and codes
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian proficiency is a plus)
