Industrial Alpinist
As an Industrial Alpinist, you will use your specialized skills and training to perform a variety of tasks at great heights and in challenging environments. Your primary responsibility will be to provide safe and efficient access to difficult-to-reach areas for maintenance, construction, or inspection purposes. You must have a strong understanding of safety protocols and techniques for working at height, as well as physical fitness and endurance. This is a part-time position based in Alta, with accommodation provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rope access work using specialized equipment and techniques
- Conduct visual inspections and assessments of structures or equipment
- Install, repair, or maintain structures and equipment at height
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Continuously assess risks and hazards in the work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an industrial alpinist preferred
- Certification in rope access techniques (e.g. IRATA, SPRAT)
- Physically fit with excellent balance, strength, and endurance
- Knowledge of safety protocols for working at height
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
Salary: $1300 per month (part-time)
