Long Haul Truck Driver

We are in need of a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team in Alta, Canada. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances safely and efficiently. You will be driving a variety of trucks with different loads, including flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.

Responsibilities:
- Transport goods over long distances while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and report any issues to maintenance department
- Maintain accurate driver logs and records of deliveries
- Adhere to weight limits and properly secure cargo for transport
- Follow all company policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a truck driver in a similar role
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license with clean driving record
- Knowledge of truck maintenance and repair procedures is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of cargo and long hours of driving
