We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Alta, Norway. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's culinary operations and managing a team of talented chefs. Responsibilities:
- Create menus that reflect the unique flavors and local ingredients of Alta
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure high-quality ingredients are always available
- Train and develop kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles
- Ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to create memorable dining experiences for guests
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
- Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience/training preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing unique dishes using local ingredients
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
