Part-Time Executive Chef
Location: Alta, Norway
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a part-time basis in Alta, Norway. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Your main focus will be on creating delicious and visually appealing dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus in accordance with dietary requirements and guest preferences
- Oversee food preparation to ensure meals are prepared to perfection
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and dining services
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety certification is preferred but not required
This is a part-time position with a competitive salary of 1800$ per month. Accommodation can be provided for non-local candidates. Visa sponsorship may also be available for qualified candidates.
