Executive Chef - Alta, Norway
We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Alta, Norway. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality dishes while overseeing and managing our kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and smooth service flow
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a chef in a high-end restaurant
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new dishes
- Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Must be fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus)
Salary: $1700 per month
