Executive Chef - Alta, Norway



We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in Alta, Norway. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are met.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and design creative menus that reflect local flavors and ingredients while also meeting dietary restrictions and preferences
- Manage and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed while adhering to budgetary constraints
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed dinners
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in cooking to continuously improve the menu offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Proficient in menu planning, food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Ability to lead a diverse team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Norwegian is a plus)
- Passion for creating delicious dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate them in menu planning

Education:
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred. However, equivalent experience may be considered.
