Part-Time Crane Operator
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Part-Time Crane Operator to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a leading construction and logistics company, we are looking for someone who can operate a variety of cranes to safely and efficiently lift, move, and position heavy materials on job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes including tower, mobile, and overhead cranes according to safety regulations and job site requirements
- Safely rig loads for lifting and maneuvering using appropriate slings, chains, or cables
- Inspect cranes before each shift to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Communicate with ground crew and signal personnel to safely position loads
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations including load charts, maintenance logs, and safety checklists
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others on the job site
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid crane operator license or certification required
- Proficiency in reading load charts and understanding the capabilities of different types of cranes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with fluency in English (Norwegian language skills considered an asset)
- Physically fit with the ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work part-time hours on weekdays or weekends as needed
