Librarian (Pakistani or Filipino) in Doha, Qatar

We are seeking a qualified Librarian (Pakistani or Filipino) to join our library team in Doha, Qatar. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the library, including organizing and maintaining the collection, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and overseeing circulation and cataloging processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an organized and up-to-date library collection
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Manage circulation processes, including checking materials in and out
- Catalog new materials and maintain accurate records of inventory
- Plan and implement library programs and events to engage the community
- Train and supervise library staff, including volunteers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluency preferred)
- Proficiency in using library software systems
- Knowledge of cataloging standards and resources
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

This is a contract position for Pakistani or Filipino candidates only. The salary for this position is $1300 per month. This job does not include accommodation. Candidates must have a valid biometric passport.
