Job Title: Preservation Architect - Washington, USA


Our architecture firm is seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Washington, USA. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while ensuring compliance with conservation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the historical significance and architectural style of buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and proposals for restoration projects
- Oversee construction projects to ensure preservation guidelines are followed
- Work closely with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to implement preservation plans
- Conduct field surveys and assessments of existing buildings to determine necessary repairs or maintenance
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for restoration work
- Provide guidance on appropriate materials and techniques for restoration projects
- Collaborate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits for restoration work
- Monitor budget and schedule for restoration projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software
- In-depth knowledge of preservation techniques, materials, and regulations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
