Blast Furnace Operator
Location: Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron and steel. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a hot and noisy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnaces according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Control the flow of materials into the furnace and adjust temperature, pressure, and chemical composition as needed
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments or repairs as necessary
- Collect samples for analysis and record data on production logs
- Work with other operators to ensure smooth operation of the furnace
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and perform regular maintenance on equipment
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience as a Blast Furnace Operator preferred but not required
- Physically fit with the ability to work in high heat environments
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with long hours in a hot, noisy, industrial environment. The role may also require working weekends or holidays. The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Salary:
The salary for this position starts at $1500 per month.
