Indian Chef

A high-end restaurant in Nairobi is seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating authentic Indian dishes and the ability to consistently deliver exceptional quality and taste. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for planning and directing the food preparation process, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest level of food safety and hygiene standards are maintained. You will also be expected to develop new menu items, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Indian Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Certification or degree in culinary arts or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Swahili is a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Nairobi, Kenya. However, candidates from India with valid work permits are preferred.
