Android Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our team in Ashdod, Israel. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with our design and development teams to create user-friendly and efficient applications that meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. You should also have experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and code versioning tools such as Git.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Write clean and maintainable code that follows industry standards
- Troubleshoot issues reported by users and provide timely solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as an Android Developer
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language
- Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services
- Experience with third-party libraries such as Retrofit, Picasso, etc.
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication skills in English (Hebrew is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
