Reference Librarian

The Reference Librarian will be responsible for providing assistance to library patrons in finding and accessing information resources. They will also participate in collection development, instruction, and outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a library setting, strong research skills, and excellent customer service skills. This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per month. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities:
- Assist library patrons in locating and using information resources
- Provide reference services in person, over the phone, and through email
- Participate in collection development by evaluating and selecting materials for the library's collection
- Plan and conduct instructional sessions on information literacy skills
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy into curriculum
- Promote library resources and services through outreach initiatives
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong research skills and knowledge of various reference sources
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with collection development preferred
- Knowledge of emerging technologies used in libraries preferred
- Fluency in English required
